   •    Bachelor of Music in Composition – Berklee College of Music, Boston
 

Teaching Experience:
Juan has over 20 years of teaching experience and has been actively involved in music  education since 2002. He previously served for 10 years as the Head of the Contemporary Music Department at UCSI University and is currently the Founder and  Principal of Musica Music & Dance Academy. His expertise spans performance, composition, ensemble training, and academic mentorship.

Juan believes in building strong musical foundations while encouraging creativity and ensemble collaboration, guiding students to develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

With over 19 years of teaching experience, Sylvia has served multiple times as a judge for the UTAR Chinese Orchestra Solo Instrument Competition and has conducted masterclasses on several occasions at music camps, universities such as UKM and MMU, and at several secondary schools across different states in Malaysia.

Tan Jing (TJ)

Teaching Experience:

With experience teaching violin in both music academy and private settings, Teacher TJ works closely with beginner students to build a strong and healthy foundation in violin playing.

He provides one-to-one violin lessons tailored to each student’s age, learning pace, and musical goals.

Lessons focus on correct posture, bow control, intonation, basic music reading, and rhythm, while encouraging good practice habits and musical confidence. He believes in creating a positive, patient, and encouraging learning atmosphere, especially for young beginners and first-time learners.
