MÚSICA BAND ENSEMBLE

Making music theory simple, fun, and exciting!

   •    Designed for: 4 to 6-year-old
   •    Class size: 5–10 students
   •    Class duration: 1 hour weekly

Program Highlights:
   •    Learn music through games, singing, movement, and creative play.
   •    Build rhythm, pitch, and listening skills.
   •    Develop coordination, social skills, creativity, and confidence.
   •    Explore instruments: Percussion and melodic play.
   •    Music basics: Notes, symbols, rhythms, and core concepts.
   •    Ear & rhythm training: Listening, clapping, and keeping the beat.
   •    Sight singing: Sing with piano to improve pitch and tone.
   •    Creative play: Improvise, experiment, and express musical ideas.

MÚSICA JUNIOR PROGRAM

Building solid musicianship with theory, listening skills, and musical understanding!

Program Details:
   •    Designed for: 7 to 12‑year‑old students
   •    Class size: 5–10 students
   •    Class duration: 1 hour weekly

Program Highlights:
   •    Focus on music theory fundamentals: notes, rhythm, time signatures, scales, and basic harmony.  
   •    Ear training & aural skills: pitch recognition, interval listening, rhythmic understanding, and melodic awareness.  
   •    Rhythm & beat development: rhythmic pattern practice, clapping, and pulse activities to improve timing.  
   •    Sight singing & solfège: practice singing using solfege (do‑re‑mi) and learning to read simple melodies.  
   •    Music history & appreciation: introduction to key musical styles, genres, composers, and how music fits into culture and time (age‑appropriate context).  
   •    Instrument exploration & ensemble skills: opportunities to apply theory through playing simple instruments, group listening, and cooperative music‑making.  
   •    Creative expression: improvisation, composition basics, and developing personal musical ideas in class.  

What Students Will Do:
   •    Music theory exercises — read notes, symbols, and rhythms, explore keys and patterns.  
   •    Aural training drills — listen for pitch, rhythm, intervals, and simple harmonic movement.  
   •    Sight singing practice — vocalize melodies with correct rhythm and relative pitch.  
   •    Rhythm activities — games, clapping, and group rhythm challenges to build strong beat skills.  
   •    Music history mini‑lessons — short, engaging segments on composers, styles, or the evolution of musical ideas (age appropriate).  
   •    Group music activities — ensemble listening, call‑and‑response, and cooperation exercises to deepen musicianship.

Developing advanced musicianship through theory, composition, analysis, and creative expression!

   •    Designed for: 12 years old and above
   •    Class size: 5–10 students
   •    Class duration: 1 hour weekly

   •    Advanced music theory: Dive deeper into musical structures, harmony, scales, chord progressions, and formal analysis of pieces.  
   •    Ear & aural training: Develop rigorous listening skills — recognizing rhythms, intervals, melodies, harmonies, and dictation.  
   •    Composition & creative writing: Learn how to create original music, explore melody and harmony, and apply composition techniques.  
   •    Music analysis: Study musical pieces to understand form, texture, style, and how composers structure their work.  
   •    Musical genres & history: Explore a variety of musical styles — classical, jazz, pop, world music, and contemporary genres — to understand their characteristics and evolution.  
   •    Sight singing & solfège: Practice reading and performing melodies accurately, improving pitch confidence and rhythmic accuracy.  
   •    Rhythm exercises & advanced beat skills: Refine rhythmic precision through clapping patterns, syncopation, and complex rhythmic activities.  

What Students Will Do:
   •    Study theory essentials: Including notation, form, harmony foundations, and ear training drills — preparing students for advanced music understanding or future exams.  
   •    Compose original music: Students write melodies and harmonies, work with motifs and structure, and learn how composition relates to theory.  
   •    Analyze real musical works: Guided listening and score analysis help students see how professional compositions are constructed.  
   •    Explore musical styles: Learn about major genres and styles, how they differ, and their cultural or historical background.  
   •    Strengthen listening skills: Aural training exercises that sharpen the ability to identify intervalic relationships, melodic contours, and harmonic functions.
